Karen and James’s Garden
In this episode we see professional chefs Karen and James grow an appetite to completely transform their garden. Inspired by Raymond Blanc, they wanted a garden that could grow exciting ingredients whilst making it functional for the family. Our experts served them up with a designed garden that changed the way they interact with nature. Poppy shows us how to get the most out of a kitchen garden – through intercropping, planting companion plants and using endangered Heritage Breeds. There’s also a bee highway and a wormery made from an upcycled BBQ. The wormery will not only provide compost and fertilizer for years but will also become home to any wondering hedgehogs. Â
