How to use Ultra Tough Floor Varnish
Before you start
Sand the wood well with 120 grit paper. Wear a mask to avoid inhaling any dust. Wipe away dust with white spirit and leave to dry. Stir well before use and test on a small area to check you are happy with the finish.
Application
Use a 4" brush and apply 3 coats. Leave 2 hours between each coat and lightly sand using 240 grit paper before the final coat. Leave 8 hours before walking on the floor and 24 hours before putting any furniture back.
Clean up
Remove any varnish from your brush and wash in warm, soapy water. Don't put left over varnish down the drain or into watercourses. Your local authority may have facilities to get rid of unused varnish.
